Frequently Asked Questions
We've compiled a list of the most commonly asked questions below, but please do get in touch if you have any other queries.
Do you run events in my area?
We run events at several venues in Essex and Suffolk, please see our events page for a list of upcoming events. We hope to keep expanding our list of locations over time, so if there is not currently an event near you then please do check again in future. We're also keen to hear from you, so please do reach out if you think an event in your area would be popular.
How long do your tasting events last?
Most events are expected to last around 2 hours.
How many wines will I be able to taste?
We will always provide you with a minimum of 6 wines to try at a wine-only tasting event. However, there may be less wines to sample at food-pairing events. You can find out more details about each event on the 'Upcoming Events' page. Once everyone has sampled the wine we're happy to pass the bottle round, so if you like it, you can have more (if there is some spare!).
Why are your wine tasting events more expensive than others?
English wine is often more expensive than supermarket wine imported from overseas. This is largely due to the smaller quantities produced and high labour costs in the UK. Our events are therefore more expensive because the wine we serve you is more expensive than you will probably receive at most other wine tasting events. However, we think drinking wine which has been made in England with locally grown grapes is worth the slightly higher price tag!
Do you offer private events?
Private events are something we are willing to consider. Prices will vary depending on the number of people, location, and chosen tasting menu. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss the possibility of a private event.
How can I keep up to date about your latest tasting events?
We will announce all new events and locations on our social media pages, please give us a follow to be the first in the know! The links to our social media pages can be found at the bottom of this webpage.
